Korat Cat

You are here: Breeds and Registration > Cat Breeds > Korat Cat

The bone structure of this breed is delicate, his body slender and his head heart-shaped.

The first Korat was reportedly imported into the United States in 1959 from Thailand. He is quiet, dignified and reserved. He has a quiet voice and a warm, affectionate nature.

In color, the Korat is blue overall, tipped with silver (the more silver the better). There is no shading or tabby marking. When the coat is short, the silver sheen becomes intensified. The nose leather should be dark blue or lavender. The paw pads ranging from dark blue to lavender with a pinkish tinge. The Korat's eye color is a brilliant green-gold.
