Havana Brown Cat

You are here: Breeds and Registration > Cat Breeds > Havana Brown Cat

Deliberately bred originally by English breeders for their brown color, this breed was a cross between a Russian Blue and a Seal-point Siamese. The head is somewhat Oriental in type but there is a profile indentation at the level of the eyes. The eyes are large and the ears are also large but rounded. The cat is not at all domestic in appearance but has a rather pixie-ish look. The color is a rich, warm. mahogany brown with the entire coat the same shade of brown to the skin, and brown whiskers. The nose leather and pads have a rosy tone while the eyes are chartreuse green.
